Reposition the National Trust away from its current perceived image; make it relevant to the modern visitor.
Highlight the adrenaline filled activities that the National Trust has to offer. Focusing on mountain biking.
The three characters are used to symbolise the challenges within the forest. Each animal has a unique way of navigating the environment and this represents the style of cycling required for the different sections, for example: the stag represents the steep climbs of the mountain section.
Edit of footage originally filmed by Aaron Larocque
I used an existing 3D model of a rabbit and reduced the number of polygons it had (making it less smooth).
I then applied a gradient to the model which coloured each individual segment a different colour.
To animate the models I constructed simple skeletons in Cinema4D and used key frames to create the movement.
Interestingly the movement alters the colours of the segments, helping to re-enforce the aesthetic of the beating heart.
